When an ice cube melts, what happens to the stuff (the matter ) that once made up the cube?

    The matter itself almost complete remains.. But as the temperature changes, the particles in the matter either excite or mellow down.. and as they do this, the matter that makes up the water or ice switches between something called phases(Solid, Liquid, Gas, PL)

    The solid becomes a liquid.
    ice turns to water.

    It becomes water. The matter still exists, just in a new form.
