Take like Miley Cyrus' "Party in the USA" and even Jake Owen's "American Country Love Song." I notice these apparently got onto the Canadian charts too but how do Canadians listen to songs like that? Because a song about Canadian love would never spike in the US.

Yes, we do. And we personally don't care. Most music is revolved around America even though Canadian artists have been taking over the charts lately. Examples like Shawn Mendes, Justin Bieber, Drake, The Weeknd, and Alessia Cara have been getting the most hits, but we don't see them making songs about Canada. Except Drake, he just centered his whole album vibe Views to Toronto.

    Of course we do.

American music - including American-centred music - is famous all over the world.

You're right. Americans wouldn't be interested in a song about a couple rubbing noses in an igloo.

Justin Beiber is Caqnadian. So are a number of American pop-stars ....SO, maybe those songs have a canadian connection....
