What's the logic behind the omnibenevolent God allowing demons to exist on Earth?

Maybe because it helps us grow.

First, let's get this straight. Demons are not human-like entities, they are negative emotions which are caused by our surroundings. Ex:Anger: When people around you are mad they pass on their energy to whoever allows that energy to be passed. Most people simply allow the energy to be passed and they become mad/angry as well. In the Bible, emotions are considered spirits. There is the Spirit of Love, Spirit of oppression, Spirit of kindness etc. Demons are any spirit which brings us down and is not constructive ( Anger, Jealousy, lust, greed etc.). These emotions are allowed by us first of all so no need to blame God. Second, even when they are allowed we are able to use that to learn from them. When someone else shows their negative emotions we can learn how not to be that way.

Satan made a promise to God early on that he would be worshiped above God himself by some of Gods people. So as with Job, God gave him the opportunity to make good his promise. He deceived 1/3 of Gods angels to rebel with him. He promised them positions of wealth and power.

Well he did succeed in that regard - and still does today through the Roman assembly. But little did he know that he was just helping God separate the unfaithful souls from Gods sheepfold.

And today Satan and all his demons are roasting forever in hell.

And many shall join them there forever

    The biblical account

Isa 14:12 ¶ How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!
Isa 14:13 For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
Isa 14:14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.
Isa 14:15 Yet thou shalt be brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit.

First we should understand the difference between angels and humans and why we can come back from sin and they cannot. Angels were created to live in the presence of God and the devil and his demons we have today are damned to hell because they sinned knowing the truth and chose a life not after God's way of love. They are not able to come back and be redeemed again unto God unlike humans because those that have not yet known the true God willfully sin in ignorance.
To prove what I have said, I will point out a couple of verses in God's word..

Hebrews 6:4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, 5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, 6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

1 Timothy 1:12 And I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who hath enabled me, for that he counted me faithful, putting me into the ministry; 13Who was before a blasphemer, and a persecutor, and injurious: but I obtained mercy, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief.

Now lets take a sec and ask ourselves if God is truly omni-benevolent in the sense that he would not allow anything bad to happen. So look at the world... evil is definitely present, it's all around us, and even in us and sometimes we can't even see it! So obviously God is letting people choose to follow him in this present world. Basically, what I am saying is that he gave us free will so that we could choose to love him and his way or live our own life. This definitely doesn't mean that God is evil though, he is just giving us time to choose the right way before he judges our actions and rewards them.

    Romans 8:31-39
separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Hope this gives a little bit of insight into God and why the world is the way it is.

Why do you allow your children to go to school with other children you don't approve of. Same reason. IT is not logic at all. Sometimes your child (YES, your child) is the child you would not approve of.

its the same logic that allowed god to create all the animals in one day
yet supposedly noah had to go round up a male and a female of each kind to ensure the survival of the species
sounds kinda fishy if you ask me

I don't know, some horsesh*t about testing us humans to prepare us for the next life.

That is the way the story was written. Whoever writes a story can make it any way desired.

Perhaps "allowing" is not the right term."Not being able to stop" might be better.

    Religions are illogical

It was our fault that death and sin entered the world.
